HCC makes a 6000-Euro donation to the Agua de Coco Foundation.

HCC has made a 6000 Euro donation to the Agua de Coco Foundation, a Non-Governmental Organization, to support the work it is carrying out in countries including Madagascar, Cambodia, Brazil and El Salvador. The aid plan includes educational improvement, social and workplace rehabilitation, and improvement in the quality of life of people socially excluded in those countries. According to Michel Pascual, HCC Europe CEO, “there has always been within our company’s global mission a policy of contributing some of our profits to improve the living conditions of underprivileged people, with a particular emphasis on children’s causes. This gives us great satisfaction since we are sure our contribution saves lives”.

HCC Insurance Holdings, one of the 130 best companies of the world.

According to a report published recently by Forbes Magazine, HCC Insurance Holdings is amongst the 130 worldwide businesses identified within its Global 2000 as being the best placed to “survive today, thrive tomorrow”, within the context of the current global economic crisis. This report considered corporations from all sectors of the economy, with at least 1.000 million dollars in revenue, and was based on the following criteria; 5-year average growth in sales and net income, 5-year annualized total return on equity estimated EPS growth, debt-to-capital ratio and long-term profit growth forecast. In fact, among the five insurance companies included in the report, HCC Insurance Holdings has the highest growth in sales and profit. According to Michel Pascual, HCC Europe’s CEO, “in view of the adverse circumstances that the international economy is facing, it fills us with pride to work in a group whose past and anticipated performance is outstanding, such as to be included in this report and published by one of the most prestigious financial magazines in the world.”

HCC Europe Golf Tournament, IX Edition

May 27, 2009, saw the traditional HCC Europe golf tournament take place for the ninth consecutive year, at the “La Dehesa” Golf Club in Villanueva de la Cañada. A “Padel and Mus” tournament was organized with a golf clinic offered to those who wanted to try their hand at the sport for the first time. After the competition, in which 74 took part, aperitifs and lunch were served to over 200 people attending the event, including clients and insurance brokers with whom we work.
After lunch, prizes were awarded to the following winners:

1. Golf Tournament:

   • Second place: Francisco Sánchez Ortega, from Grupo Diagonal
   • Third place: Héctor Martín, from Creaciones Hermanos García Jiménez
